Charlie J. Meyer, Executive Vice President
Charlie
started his electrical journey in 1964 by working in the motor
shop at C&H Electric.
In 1965, Charlie began his apprenticeship
and worked as a journeyman for C&H.
In 1969, the U.S. Military requested
his
services.
While
in the U.S.
Army, Charlie worked as an electrician and was involved in
numerous electrical projects in California and Vietnam. When
he completed his tour
of duty,
Charlie returned to work at C&H Electric.
In 1973, when Hardt Electric was founded, Charlie was asked
to join the team. He immediately began running Hardt's largest
projects. As Hardt grew, Charlie was the best person to come
into the office and help with the estimating and sales
duties. Having an excellent rapport with the electricians and
a vast knowledge of electrical systems and designs, Charlie has
been a corner stone for Hardt's success over the last 30 years.
Currently, he serves as Hardt's Executive Vice President.
Charlie is an active
member in the Chicago Electrical
Estimators
Association, where he served as president
from 1991 to 1992. He is also a member of the International
Association of
Electrical Inspectors.
