David Hardt, CFO
David first started working in the electrical industry at the
age of 13 by making bicycle deliveries for C&H Electric.
Eventually, David was promoted to a part-time apprentice and
worked for his father during the summer.
In 1970, David received a Bachelor's Degree from Bradley University
and did some post-graduate work at Northwestern.
A few years later,
in November 1973, David and his brother, Bill, formed Hardt
Electric.
Throughout the years, David has been active in many organizations.
For ten years, David served on the executive board for Lutheran
Child & Family Services. Currently, he is on their foundation
board. David also served nine years on the Des Plaines Wetland
Conservancy Board and now serves the Halter Wildlife Board.
For
seven years, David served as a management trustee for the Electrical
Insurance Trust. He is also the former president
of the Little Wheels Club and the Electric Association of Chicago.
Since 1989, David has served on the executive board of the Electrical
Contractors Association of Chicago. Today, David is also the
organization's governor.
