Mike Meyer, Project Manager
Mike joined Hardt Electric, Inc. in December 2004 as a project
manager. Since then, Mike has been learning non-stop about the
electrical construction business. Initially his responsibilities
involved assisting the senior project staff with assembling
estimate materials, equipment submittals and shopping for
competitive pricing. More recently, Mike has been overseeing
multiple projects and has begun to establish his own division.
Mike received his Bachelor's of Science Degree from the Purdue
University School of Mechanical Engineering with a minor in
Management. He also earned a Master's of Science Degree in
Mechanical Engineering at Purdue with a research project on
high-flux thermal management using liquid jet-impingement cooling.
While pursuing his degrees, Mike had a variety of work
experience. At Teng and Associates in Chicago, Illinois, his work
focused on designing HVAC systems for several customers and
identifying appropriate component parameters to meet city codes as
well as customer requirements. He also worked at Lockheed-Martin's
Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory in Schenectady, New York, where he
performed structural analysis of nuclear reactor components for the
United States Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. Prior to these
experiences, and foreshadowing future endeavors, Mike toiled as a
local 134 Summer Helper for Hardt Electric.
