Hidden Oaks Nature Center
01. Introduction
Hardt Electric was part of a team of professionals to help Hidden Oaks Nature Center achieve a LEED Platinum Certified status. This building’s solar system features 80 grid-tie modules integrated with 46 faux modules to create an aesthetically pleasing roof.
02. Results
The photovoltaic array provides 13% of the energy this building requires. In addition, the variety of other energy-saving methods built into this facility off-set 63% of the normal energy required, making this facility truly a green experience.
