01. Introduction
Working with a manufacturer/supplier of award-winning products for Apple Computers and mobile devices, Hardt Electric helped OWC produce more energy than their facility consumes. This project was tracked daily and weekly to stay on schedule utilizing the Agile Construction Process including JPAC® Productivity Tracking, and Short Interval Scheduling (SIS®).
02. Results
Our team utilized the most efficient photovoltaic modules (SunPower® X21- 345) along with DC optimizers (Solar Edge). This provided advanced module-based monitoring, maximum energy performance per module, and enhanced safety with automatic shutdown to the module level with SafeDC™ voltage protection. Along with an existing Wind Turbine and Geothermal, Other World Computing, a northern-Illinois based manufacturer, is now able to produce more power than they consume on an annual basis.
